Contributors to John Noguez's Assessor Campaign
WatchOurCity.com reviewed copies of Huntington Park mayor John Noguez's campaign
contribution filings for his 2010 L.A. County Assessor's race. Form 460 filings are for the
Primary race and covers the period from January 1, 2010 to May 22, 2010. The largest single
contributor is Mexican businessman Leonardo Lopez of Encino, at $5,000, owner of
Leonardo's Restaurant and Dance Club in Huntington Park on Alameda Ave.

Back in 2004, When Noguez first won elected office in Huntington Park, Leonardo Lopez
bankrolled Noguez's campaign. First official action was to see if Leonardo's Restaurant could
be converted into a Card Club Casino in the style of Bell's Bicycle Club or Commerce Casino. A
State moratorium on new Card Clubs is in place until 2010, when the Governor is considering
to cancel or continue the moratorium.

Additionally, various executives from Majestic Properties have contributed to Noguez's
campaign a total of $3,250.

Huntington Park City contractors include H.P. Tow, the city's official police tow service yard, a
total of $1,750.

Waste Management, city's trash hauler: $1,000

Watson Land, city developer: $1,000

Owners of Downtown L.A. Historic Core properties contributed thousands of dollars to John
Noguez who is currently in charge of assessing property taxes for the Downtown Historic
Core area. Following is a list of property owners:
